The Right to Information Act plays an important role in ensuring transparency and accountability in administration and strengthening public participation.

Right of Citizens to Information
Subject to the provisions of the Act, citizens have the right to request information held by public authorities, including records, written information, reports, orders, copies of documents, and other eligible information.

How to Submit an RTI Application

Prepare the Application
Prepare the application by clearly specifying the information required.

Submit to the Concerned Officer
Submit the application to the Public Information Officer (PIO) designated under the Right to Information Act.

Pay the Applicable Fee
Pay the prescribed application fee and other applicable charges as required under the law.
